This is a fun one, because I'm giving you permission to go WILD with compression.
See if you can create the styles of over-compression yourself. I've included three instruments for you to cause some chaos to.
As per usual, I've also included some pre-compressed tracks to give you a target.
As you're creating these styles of over-compression, ask yourself: WHY do these sound bad? Think in terms of their waveform. What's the compressor doing to the audio right now that's causing so much mayhem?
And of course, ask yourself the most important question:
What can I do to avoid this in a mix?
