Activity – Balance Chart
Okay, time for another activity!
Start by downloading the attached multitracks.
Once you've done that, import the files into your DAW. The exact process for this will vary, but in most DAWs you can just drag and drop the files.
You will see 3 different tracks.
[ml][ul][li indent=0 align=left]Snare[/li][li indent=0 align=left]Piano[/li][li indent=0 align=left]Vocals[/li][/ul][/ml]Each of these individual tracks needs balancing. They are from different songs, so don't play them all at once. Solo each channel in succession and EQ each of them in isolation.
Go through them one by one, and using your Balance Chart, work on each of these tracks.
Now, there aren't any "answers" here that we're going to give you. All of this is highly subjective.
The idea here is to just practice applying the techniques you learned in the last lesson.
Don't worry about getting it "right." Focus on implementing what you have learned, and in time, you will get better and better at this process.
